What is Medical Monitoring?
Many people often require extra accountability when starting an entirely new life in Recovery.
Our clients have outside people that care for them and want to see them do well. At West Coast Interventions, we offer medical monitoring services throughout British Columbia. Most importantly, many of our clients have found this to be a viable solution.
Medical Monitoring serves two main purposes:
- Firstly, being that is one component of a Relapse Prevention Plan. This plan can be initiated and maintained by a Recovery Coach. Clients have continuous face to face contact. Most importantly, this allows clients to feel supported in their recovery process. Clients undergoing this process are asked a series of questions to hold them accountable and keep them on the right path to recovery.
- Secondly, is when employees commit to their employer under a medical agreement. Unfortunately, many people come close to losing their employment due to their disease of addiction. Our clients are held accountable through our assistance. The employer is ensured that workplace health and safety ideals are being met. Additionally, the individual is supported in achieving long-term abstinence and recovery from substance use disorder.
In conclusion, research verifies that implementing post-treatment medical monitoring greatly improves the prognosis for an individual affected by a substance use disorder. Both Craig Fluter and Trista Zamany offer this service.
