It is our mission statement to get to as many people reaching out for help as is possible. To do that, we need to make it affordable to the families who are left out there trying to cope with the addict and come up with the solution and ultimate cost. We understand how difficult this time in your life is already without having the added stress of finding thousands of dollars. We will work to the best of ability within your budget to get your loved one the help that they desperately deserve and need. We will travel as inexpensively as possible and book ourselves the most basic accommodation. We keep our costs to a minimum in the hopes of reaching out to as many in need as possible. Therefor our base rate for our West Coast Interventions will vary, it will be dependent on the circumstance and location. Please contact us now to get an estimate! We will work with you on finding the solution.
Our initial consultation fee includes a conference call with as many involved in the intervention as possible. There is then a full day of guidance and education for the family where we discuss the processes involved in interventions, and what they can potentially expect. We then focus on boundaries and ultimatums, and how important they are in this process. We will assist family members in creating and maintaining these boundaries.
West Coast Interventions staff will continue to support families after the Intervention has occurred, and guide the though the process of Treatment intake. Intervention fees are variable as they are dependent on the circumstance and location. Although our offices are located in Victoria and Vancouver, we travel throughout Canada to suit your needs, we assist both male and female clients and have treatment facilities available and lined up for admittance of both.
Once your loved one has accepted treatment, they will then travel to the recovery centre for intake. Loved ones are filled with emotion; often anger and confusion, so most families prefer us to travel with them to treatment. This is highly recommended as the individual may try to manipulate their families or change their minds. Fight or flight usually kicks in at this point. This is the time when we begin to develop a bond with our clients by sharing our story of recovery, that helps them to see us as more a relatable human and less the enemy!
Remember, the Interventionist is not emotionally attached to your loved one, making it easy for us to remain calm, focused and in the moment. Our sole purpose is to keep our clients safe, and get them to the help that they need. Our trained professional Interventionists have worked with hundreds of alcoholics and addicts and know how to handle all types of personalities and behaviours.
Counselling helps us review our present patterns, and find out what works and what doesn’t. Perhaps we need to revisit and renew old lessons we already know. We just do not know how to get there on our own, we need a new perspective, a clear unbiased view into our world.
With a counsellor we can discuss options and solutions that we hadn’t thought of or simply do not know how to get to alone. By education and coaching, counsellors can show us how to manage our anger and fear and communicate our needs more concisely, and help us rally for change.
Counselling helps us turn the spotlight first onto understanding ourselves and then onto the prosper of changing the things that we can change. We start to move away from feeling the victim and move more into the solution.
One of the best ways we can learn about ourselves is by remembering how and why we got to where we are, by remembering that the past opens our eyes to insights about the now. By integrating the story of our self, including our family and childhood we become more whole and integrated. By learning who and why we are, we then begin to work on who we would like to become.
Hourly counselling options are available. This could include private counselling, group/family counselling, grief counselling, sexual trauma counselling and more.
